For all who like boardgames or are just curious please note that DiceCon, the Scottish Boardgames Associations twice yearly convention is on the 24th January 2010 at Overseas House 100 Princes St Edinburgh entry 10 am till late £6. These are the only dedicated Scottish board and Eurogame conventions (There are many more in England) and from my past experience there are many freebies to be given out (competition prizes and door pass raffle) so come along and check it out.
It can vary - in the past maybe between 50 and 100. The last Dicecon (West) due in June was cancelled due to the venue owners going bust. I dont know whether this will affect the east con positively or negatively.

Well, there was a good attendance at Dicecon (about 60 which is good for boardgames) and a great time was had by all. About 25 free games were given out - needless to say I didn't win one. I did however buy a copy of Chronos (a time travel game ) for only £10. Next Dicecon will be in Glasgow end of June beginning of July.... -ish.
